Hooply Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

Hooply ("the app," "we," "us") is a basketball coaching tool that helps coaches manage rosters, build practice plans, and generate game rotations. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. By using Hooply you agree to the practices described here.

Information You Provide

Hooply only contains the information you choose to enter, such as:

This data is stored locally on your device using your device's app storage. We do not maintain user accounts, and this information is not uploaded to or retained on our servers except as needed to power the AI features described below.

How the AI Features Work

When you use a feature that generates content — lineup rotations, practice plans, drill suggestions, or minute distributions — the relevant inputs you provided (for example, player names, positions, ratings, and game settings) are sent over an encrypted connection to our backend, which forwards them to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the result. The generated result is returned to your device.

These requests are processed transiently to generate your result. Anthropic processes API requests under its commercial terms and, per those terms, does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details.

What We Do Not Do

Data Retention & Deletion

Because your roster and plan data live on your device, you control it. Deleting the app removes that locally stored data. AI requests are not stored by us after your result is returned.

Service Providers

We rely on the following providers to operate the app's AI features:

Children's Privacy

Hooply is intended for use by coaches and other adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Coaches who enter information about youth players are responsible for that information and for having any consent required by their league or jurisdiction.

Security

Requests between the app and our backend are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data the app handles.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
